I want to make my myspace very private. i want it to have a diff pic from when u search and when u actually go on my profile. i want my page private. when ppl request to be my friend, i want them to have to type in my last name or email. how do i do all those things? someone pleeez help.

i have no idea im 14 and when i got a myspace it automatically already like that for my account i guess tom makes it automatic for teenagers under 18 years

Those can be done in the account settings page which is the second link on your homepage to the right of your pic on the top of the page

Go to your myspace home page, and click on account settings.

From there click "privacy settings"

Check the box for "friend requests, require email or last name"

Also, make sure the dot is in the box for "who can view my profile? friends only"

As for the different picture, my only advice is to upload a pic of something other than yourself to set as your default, and in Add/edit photos, set your photos so that only your friends can see them.

go to account settings then privacy setting. it's all in there. as for the picture on the outside being different from your default pic... the only way to do that (as far as i know) is to make your own div layout. you can do that here: http://www.bbzspace.com/overlay/
