I have a private profile on myspace, as does my friend. I can search for her by name, and at least see that she "exists". I am only found via the search engine if I enter my email. Why can't people search for me by name? I've tried opening a new account and nothing. Emailing customer service hasn't helped. Any suggestions?

like the second girl said..when you registered you probably registered with a different name...try going to the account section on myspace and changing your first and last name...then try searching again! if it doesnt work..maybe you should write to tom about it

Have you tried searching from your friend's account? Sometimes you can't see yourself... because you are yourself.

it might be because when you registered you did not register as the name you are searching for.

that is how my profile is my friends can only find me via email. I still have not found a way to change that so if you find the answer let me know
