I can't answer for most people, but as a parent with two teenagers, I insist that they set their my space profiles to private. This helps keep the pervs from seeing their pics and stuff.

WRONG! I can see them...I have 4 teenagers and have looked at so called 'private profiles' of friends of one of my 16 year old daughters. I had legitamate concerns and viewed their profiles.
